Our Story

The Generational Wealth Foundation (TGWF) was an idea birthed by a big dreamer from the little island of Jamaica. As a corporate professional engaged in Delta Air Lines’ premier leadership program, this experience served as a catalyst that moved Shari Oliver to step into her purpose of empowering others to achieve their dreams.  She, understood the value of what she was exposed to and desired to share this and more with socio-economically diverse populations.

                     Founder, Shari Oliver

Fortune 100, corporate professional turned philanthropist and entrepreneur … After grad school at NC State, Shari quickly grew through the ranks at the airline that “Best Connects the World.” As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, in Supply Chain at Delta Air Lines, she managed approximately $300M in airport and cargo supplier spend in Europe, Middle East, Africa, India (EMEAI), New York and Boston regions.  In her 20’s, she was globe-trotting while negotiating with industry titans, managing multi-million dollar international contracts and driving global airport supplier performance.  She then transitioned to the commercial side of the business as the Manager of Transatlantic Alliances in Sales Development where her scope included EMEAI alliance partner and sales program management.  It was at this point in her career she participated in Delta’s emerging leader development program curated for the top 30 next-gen leaders.  After successfully completing this program and with the support of Delta’s leadership, she took a leave of absence to start her philanthropic journey creating a nonprofit focused on wealth generation among socio-economically diverse populations.  Shortly thereafter, she became more in tune with the role real estate plays in wealth generation and decided to pair her philanthropic efforts with her entrepreneurial journey in real estate as a licensed real estate agent with Keller Williams Atlanta Midtown.

Shari has a B.A. in Communication Management and a B.A. in Tourism Management along with a Minor in Marketing from St. Leo University.  She also has an M.S. in Communication from North Carolina State University.
